On Visiting the Website - Why Bother?
by Bob Thomson, Tacoma Open Group for Microcomputers
There are several reasons to visit our website toggle.org. Webmaster Ray Mills has been working hard to establish several sections or departments on the site. He is aided in putting up the content of these sections by various TOG members who have volunteered to provide it to him.

Among the Website sections, besides the TOGGLE Home Page, which gives details of the Program for and date of the next monthly meeting, are the Purpose which describes the aims of the User Group, the TOGGLE Newsletter which often expands on printed articles, and provides links1 to websites mentioned in the articles, Q&A which summarizes the question period at last meeting, Tips & Tricks which has several "Tips of the Day" from TipWorld, Feedback which allows you to contact the WebMaster with comments, complaints, etc., Help Line which lists volunteers willing to give help in their area of expertise, Virus Hot List which lists current viruses and provides links1
to Symantec's site to update Norton AntiVirus, and Other Links which provides links1 to other computer/ user group-related sites.

1 The ability to click on an active link such as this is a great convenience. It allows you to jump to a related remote site, to further explore the subject being discussed in the article, while it is still fresh in your mind and without requiring you to "look up" the address yourself. This convenient feature is becoming quite common in many Web sites.

Sometimes these links are quite long and complex and don't always provide a connection to the desired site. If you fail to connect, try a shortened portion of the address, to the .com for example. Then, once logged on to the "home" page, navigate to the more specific area of the site.

And finally, we hope you won't forget where you jumped from. Y'all come back! Y'hear!!
