Printing a Web Page
by Carl Tenning, Tacoma Open Group
Ever since I have been using the Internet WWW with the Microsoft IE browser, printing the screen display would always consume more then one sheet of paper. This seemed to be true, even when the entire page was displayed on the screen without scroll bars. The second and last page usually had only three or four printed lines. I began wondering if there was a way to condense the printed page so that a single page would print on a single sheet of paper.

I found the answer by clicking on "View" and selecting "Text Size". That brings up a menu of text
sizes as follows:

    Largest
    Larger
    Medium
    Smaller
    Smallest

Mine had "Largest" checked. Changing this to Medium, while it did not seem to change the screen display, allowed a single screen to print on one sheet of 8.5" x 11" paper.
