CD-ROM Format
With the advent of reasonably-priced CD-ROM Read/Write drives or "burners", the creation of CDs holding very large files has become an inceasingly popular way of distributing these files. However, the latest CD-ROM burner models automatically create the
files in "packet" format which cannot be read by "older" CD-ROM drives. Some burner software allows conversion from packet to ISO 9660 format which older CD-ROMs can read. We have no room this month for more on this. Watch for a future article.
