UPDATE
Watch This Space!
We know this is not of great concern to many of you but scheduling problems may prevent our use of the normal meeting room for the May and June meetings. We are working on finding a suitable alternative meeting place for those two months and will announce those arrangements when we have something "firmed up". We may not actually have to move themeeting from our normal meeting room in May so you may be told to go there first. If changed you will learn where to go for the meeting.

We will post details here about the May & June meeting locations when we know them.
This Month's Program
After the great presentation on electrical safety, given by a Puget Sound Energy volunteer, last month, we thought a follow-on discussion of common items you can obtain and practices you can follow to protect your equipment and data was appropriate.

    USB and Firewire
High speed data transfer continues to be the quest of computer users, including gamers. Apple's Firewire (IEEE 1394 - 400 mbps) which has been available to PC users as an add-in card is now being challenged by USB2 (480 mbps) for transfer speed supremacy. See Hardware Notes & Tips.
