I had not been receiving
email through Outlook Express from my MSN POP3 account, for about a
week, when I became suspicious. After some research, I found that
incoming email is stored in a file called "Inbox.dbx".
Using Outlook Express, I moved all of the
messages out of the "Inbox" into another folder and exited
|
Outlook Express. Then I renamed "Inbox.dbx"
as "Inbox.bak" and restarted Outlook Express. It re-generated the file
"Inbox.dbx" and began downloading 60 or so incoming emails from MSN.
Apparently, my original "Inbox.dbx" file got corrupted or maybe it got
too big. Now it works again.
