Communications
   In How to Switch Internet Browsers Sandy Berger describes how easy it is to move from one browser to another using Firefox's Mozilla, Opera's Opera and Google's Chrome as examples. She suggests keeping Internet Explorer on your machine in case you need to access some of Microsoft's bulletins from time to time.

   In Why Security Precautions are Necessary the author discusses security issues with your router. He suggests you check your router's encryption to ensure that you aree surfing safely. He touches on a couple of other issues. Worth a read.

Operating Systems
   In Re-installing Windows Vinnie LaBash suggests that we all need to reinstall Windows from time to time and he goes through the steps to do so including getting all your ducks in order before you start. He works with Vista fior this article.

   In Computer Speed, RAM and Virtual Memory author Brian Lewis goes over some of the things to remember when attempting to improve performance of your computer. It is important to realize the limitations of existing hardware before adding more technically-advanced items, because they may never reach their full potential because of the limitations of existing hardware with which they are required to interface.


Hardware
   In Flash Drives the author, Frank Varano touts the value of flash drives and chastises you if you aren't taking advantage of them. He gives some examples of how he uses them.

   In See? What Did I Tell Ya? this piece from the Menifee Valley newsletter discusses memory cards of the type used in digital cameras and the like. The capacities of these devices are becoming quite large and they may replace or substitute for other more familar storage devices.

   In How to Copy Contents of One Hard Drive to a New Hard Drive the procedure for doing so is outlined in detail.
