A Must CD For Any WINDOWS User
Microsoft Corp. is taking orders for Windows Security Update CD, with all critical updates thru October 2003 for various Windows versions. The CD-ROM is meant for Windows users with slow, dial-up connections that can make downloading a nightmare. Because the disc offers updates only thru Oct. 15, 2003, Microsoft still recommends going to the Windows Update Web site for latest updates. The move to make update discs available worldwide follows an initiative by Microsoft in Japan where thousands of security update CDs were given away last year in the wake of many virus and worm attacks.
Users can order the Windows Security Update CD at no cost; shipping will take between two and four weeks. As a bonus, the disc includes information on PC protection and free trial versions of antivirus and firewall software.
The Windows Security Update CD is available for Windows XP, ME, 2000, 98, and 98SE.

  • · Why Wait?
But why wait two to four weeks when your club librarian has a copy available for you at the meeting for a very reasonable donation to the Treasury.. Mail orders can also be arranged.
